​​1. General conditions

1.1. The conditions of the international art festival are concluded in accordance with the current legislation, norms and customs that regulate the legal relations of the organization, the procedure for conducting, material and technical and legal support and calculations in the field of public socially useful contests, festivals and other events.

1.2. The regulation establishes the general principles, principles of organization and holding of the international festival, defines the basic concepts used in the conduct of the Festival, regulates relations between the persons participating in it, establishes their rights, duties, order and extent of responsibility, as well as special procedures and caveats.

1.3. The festival is a public, open, socially useful competition.
 

2. The competition takes place in accordance with the following timetable:

Applications are accepted until November 18 inclusive.

The festival-competition is held from November 21 to 24, 2024.
 

3. Organizer:

The organizing committee of "Smile Fest" and LLC "Creative studio “Мій теплий маєток" with the support of the creative union "Association of performers of pop art of Ukraine", the international radio station Radio Sfera Music, the production center "Tuaron Management" and with the informational support of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine.

4. Goals:

✔ Presentation of creative achievements of gifted children and youth;

✔ Revival, preservation and development of national cultures

✔ Discovery of new talents;

✔ Promotion of the development of talented and gifted youth and children;

✔ Improvement of aesthetic education of children and youth;

✔ Popularization and development of art of various directions and genres;

✔ Revival, preservation and development of national cultures;

✔ Exchange of creative experience between participants and managers, establishment of new creative contacts;

 

5. Jury:

All members of our jury are well-known cultural workers and recognized artists, laureates of international festival-competitions, qualified specialists in their field and genre, have extensive experience in stage work, and are also talented mentors and authoritative public figures.

GALYNA GORBATENKO - People's Artist of Ukraine. Head of the Jury of the "SMILE FEST" festival. Professor, honored artist of Ukraine, laureate of many international competitions, choir conductor and teacher, head of the Women's Choir of the Kyiv Municipal Academy of Music named after R.M. Glier (CMAM named after R.M. Glier). She graduated from the Kyiv Pyotr Tchaikovsky Conservatory (now Ukrainian National Tchaikovsky Academy of Music) (class of D. Zavadynskyi). Grand Prix of the 1st Ukrainian Choir Competition named after M. Leontovych. Worked with children's choirs, choirmaster. Conducted international choir master classes.

ANDRII DANILOV - Public figure, head of the "SMILE FEST" organizing committee, director of the Creative Studio "MY WARM PROPERTY", producer, member of the National Choreographic Union of Ukraine, member of the Creative Union "Association of Artists of Pop Art of Ukraine, organizer of festivals.

NATALY MELNYCHUK - Honored Artist of Ukraine. Member of the creative union "Association of performers of pop art of Ukraine", teacher with 25 years of experience, who performs concerts.  A graduate of Ukrainian National Tchaikovsky Academy of Music (vocals, bandura, conducting). The class of the teacher of People's Artists of Ukraine Diana Petrynenko, V.A. Kochur, L.I. Ostapenko. Recordings with Natalya Melnychuk's voice are in the Golden Fund of Ukrainian Radio.

LARYSA TROYANOVSKA - Honored Artist of Ukraine. Theater and film actress. The leading actress of the Kyiv Academic Drama Theater on Podil and the actress of the "Constellation" theater. In the theater since 1988. She graduated from the Kyiv National University of Theater, Cinema and Television named after I. K. Karpenko-Karogo (Artistic directors of the course Ada Rogovtseva and Leonid Oliynyk).

OLENA GROMOVA - Honored Worker of Culture of Ukraine. Ethnographer, folklorist, holds the position of head of the scientific department of the exhibition work of the National Museum of Folk Architecture and Life of Ukraine. Member of the Union of Folk Art Masters (Kolomiya). Author of numerous articles, consultant of scientific and popular science films, researcher of customs and rites of a traditional Ukrainian wedding, author of a book "Ukrainian wedding poetry", member of the artistic council of the Taras Shevchenko Art Museum in Beijing (PRC). Coordinator of the cultural and educational project "Song will indicate our borders". Honorary member of the jury of many international and all-Ukrainian festivals.

YURII PATSAN - Honored Artist of Ukraine. Awarded the Order of Merit, III degree, Certificate of Honor of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy of Ukraine, Kyiv. Laureate of the award named after M.O. Ostrovsky. Honorary citizen of Kyiv-Sviatoshyn district. Honorary member of the People's Academy of Creativity of Disabled People of Ukraine. The organizer of the "Picturesque Kyiv region" festival in the sanatorium named after M. Burdenko (Saki, Crimea). Participant of many all-Ukrainian and international art festivals. He created more than 800 paintings.  Personal exhibitions were held in the National Museum of T.G. Shevchenko, the city of Kyiv, the Cultural Foundation of Ukraine, the Government House.

LIUSA TAGHI KILANI DAMAVANDI (Canada) - Organizer, laureate and jury member of international festivals in the field of journalism. Master's degree with honors from the Institute of Journalism of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University. (2003). Worked as a teacher at Taras Shevchenko Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology of KNU, all-Ukrainian mass media, PR specialist, Atelka Inc. (Montreal, Canada), Alphanumeris System Inc. (Montreal, Canada), public figure, member of the Liberal Party of Canada.. Since 2022, she has been engaged in active volunteering in Ukraine. She speaks Ukrainian, English, French, German, Persian, Russian.

ANTON SOVA (Latvia) - head of the Tuaron Talent Company (Tuaron Management).  Director, manager, producer with many years of experience, laureate and member of the jury of international festivals and competitions. Anton is the manager of social, charitable and commercial projects, public figure. Under his leadership, a number of musical projects and competitions were implemented in different countries of the world. Thanks to him, the names of young and popular today's artists, musicians, and bloggers became known. Anton is the only one who continued the family history and great lineage of his famous grandfather, musician and master of folk instruments, Kasyan Yevchenko. The Tuaron Management company headed by him has made a significant contribution to the music industry over many years of work.

MICHELLE TKACHUK - Actor, director, choreographer, director, teacher of rhythmic disciplines, head of the dance studio of Latin American dances "Michelle", member of the Association of Actors of Ukraine, member of the international class of the jury, showman.

 

6. Awards

All participants of the festival-competition receive diplomas, and the leaders receive acknowledgements.

✔ All competition participants receive diplomas with the participant's diploma number indicated, as well as a graphic link (QR-code) to the protocol with the results of the competition, which will also indicate the participant's diploma number.

✔ In each nomination and age category, the titles of winners are awarded: GRAND PRIX, Laureate of I, II and III prizes, diploma holder.

✔ acknowledgements  to the teachers, managers, accompanists, ballet masters.

✔ All winners of the "Grand Prix" award receive a CERTIFICATE for one free participation with an electronic diploma in one of our contests in the next six months.

✔ Participants from other countries participate only with e-awards and have an e-diploma and acknowledgment to the e-mail indicated in the application at registration.

✔Participants support promotion in Internet networks (Youtube, Instagram, Facebook).

✔Each participant receives promotion in social networks - an individual post on the festival page for life and remains in the history of the competition. In the future, the participant has the right to use his publication for his own professional activity.

✔The winners of the GRAND PRIX and special awards from the jury participate in our project AMONG THE STARS and are published on our official website.

7. Take part in the festival-competition:

The festival-contest takes place in two rounds.

The first selection round is held face-to-face in art institutions of extracurricular education, colleges, institutions of higher education, as well as at the invitation of producers, if there is a need for face-to-face competitive viewing. (necessarily taking into account the situation).

If you do not have the opportunity or need to be present at the face-to-face selection, you can participate in competitions completely online.

The link with the recording of your is indicated in the application. Links to works posted on YouTube or Google Drive resources are accepted.

If you cannot post a video or photo of your works to participate in the festival-competition by November 16, 2024, you can send videos and photos of your works to Viber (050) 713-41-70 or e-mail.

Within 24 hours, receive confirmation from the organizing committee that your application has been received by mail or Viber. If you have not received confirmation, you should contact the organizing committee.

5. AWARDS FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE FESTIVAL-CONTEST:

ELECTRONIC DIPLOMAS: For participants with electronic awards, electronic diplomas and acknowledgments will be sent 7-10 WORKING days after the results to the email address provided at registration.

8. Genre nominations of the competition program:

✔ VOICE

Folk vocals, pop, academic, modern, own composition, songs of the peoples of the world, rock vocals, jazz vocals. Choirs and ensembles. The works are performed in the original language live to the soundtrack "-1", live musical accompaniment, or a cappella. Performed in any language of the world, 1 song. Only for soloists: backing vocals are allowed if they are not the main theme.

✔ CHOREOGRAPHY: 

Folk, children's, classical, ballroom, pop, modern (contemporary, modern, jazz modern, jazz, neo classic, Afrojazz), Street dance (hip-hop, techno, break dance, jazz-fun), dances of the peoples of the world. 1 performance

✔ ALL TYPES OF INSTRUMENTS

Instrumental - vocal genre, strings, keyboards, brass, percussion, folk, authentic, electric instruments, orchestras, conductors, composers.  1 piece.

✔ THEATER GENRE: 

Groups of all areas of theatrical and spoken art take part in the competition: artistic reading, fashion theaters, musicals and puppet theaters, readers (poetry, prose, own composition). Forms of execution - individual, collective. 1 performance. Teams present to the competition small stage forms, one-act performances, sketches, scenes from performances and plays that have a compositionally finished character, lasting up to 20 minutes

✔ MUSICAL AND THEORETICAL DIRECTION: 

Format of works: presentation, video, report or essay, etc. (video format up to 8 minutes).

✔ ETHNOGRAPHIC WORKS

Folklore traditions, festive and ceremonial traditions, traditional and household culture, calendar and household customs, other areas of ethnology.

✔ TELEVISION ARTS 

The festival-competition includes: video clips, commercials, interviews, short films, multimedia works, reports. The topic is free. 1 piece.

✔ OWN POETRY AND PROSE

Requirements: for one application from 1 to 3 works. (up to 3000 characters including spaces, Times New Roman font No. 14), or video with works up to 4 minutes.

Own prose nomination: short story, essay, parable, fairy tale; other directions of own prose. Own poetry nomination: poetic work, intimate lyrics, philosophical lyrics, landscape lyrics, civic lyrics, satire, elegy, fable, ballad, song, ode, other directions of own poetry.

✔ ARTS AND CRAFTS

The theme is free. 1 application – from 1 to 3 photos of works by one author. We do not limit our contestants.  Works made with your own hands in any technique are accepted for participation. Works must be posted on Google Drive, placed in one folder. In the application, provide a link to the folder from Google Drive where the work is located. If you do not have the opportunity to post photos of works on Google Drive, you can send them to us on Viber until November 16, 2024. In the last 3 days before the start of the competition, we do not accept work on Viber and e-mail. You can also additionally send a photo of the work together with the author of the work.

✔ FINE ARTS 

Works must be posted on Google Drive in one folder. In the application, provide a link to the folder from Google Drive, or you can send the works to us on Viber, but until November 16, 2024.  1 application = from 1 to 3 works by one author. You can also additionally send a photo of the work together with the author of this work. The theme is free.

✔ PHOTO ART 

1 application - up to 3 photos of works by one author. (still life, documentary, landscape, portrait, advertising, reportage, street, macro photography, flora and fauna, other areas of photographic art). The photo should not contain scenes with propaganda of violence, xenophobia, separatism, alcohol, drugs, smoking, medicines, erotica, weapons.

✔ ORIGINAL GENRE

The financing of the festival-competition of arts is carried out at the expense of co-founders, creative unions, companies, enterprises, public organizations and charitable contributions of festival participants.

 

NOTE! Part of the contributions will be

transferred to support humanitarian aid

 

9. Financial conditions of the festival-competition:

PARTICIPATION ONLY WITH AN ELECTRONIC DIPLOMA

(includes electronic diploma and acknowledgements to the teacher by e-mail) ∙

• Solo and duet - 10 EUR per performance

• From 3 to 8 participants - 12 EUR per performance 

• Team of 9 participants or more - 15 EUR per performance.

• Literature – 10 EURO (1 application up to 3000 characters)

•  Arts and crafts, photo art - 10 EUR (from 1 to 3 photos of works by one author = 1 application).

• 50% discount for the second work for the same participant in the same nomination

- Duets – 2 participants 

- Trio - 3 participants 

- Quartets – 4 members 

- Quintet – 5 members 

- Band – from 6 members

 

11. Age categories: 

∙ Debut (first time on stage)

∙ Toddlers - (3-6 years old)

∙ I - (7 - 9 years old)

∙ II - (10 - 12 years old)

∙ III - (13 - 15 years old)

∙ IV - (16 - 19 years old)

∙ V - students of secondary and higher educational institutions

∙ VI - professional 

∙ VII - amateurs over 20 years old.

∙ Mixed

 

12. General requirements and timing

- Solos, duets, trios and quartets - up to 4 minutes.

- Bands – 6-8 min.

- Theater groups and theaters of fashion, short films - up to 20 minutes.

(more than 20 minutes, for every next 5 minutes surcharge of 5 EUR)

 

13. Prizes are awarded in each nomination and category: 

Grand Prix, 1st prize, 2nd prize, 3rd prize

 

14. Technical requirements for video recording:

- It is allowed to use an external microphone (without audio processing)

- Video shooting must be carried out without switching off and stopping the video camera, from the beginning to the end of the performance of works, without stopping and editing (except for the nomination "TV ARTS").

- Participant(s) must have a neat, aesthetic appearance.

- The video should be clear and have good sound. Film of the participant from the back is not allowed. 

- During the performance of the program, the hands, instrument and performer should be clearly visible on the video, depending on the nomination. In an ensemble performance, all ensemble members must be clearly visible. 

- An amateur format is allowed if all other conditions of the competition are observed.

 - PARTICIPANTS MUST PERFORM WORKS BY HEART (except ensembles)

- The organizing committee reserves the right to prematurely stop accepting applications without prior public announcement.

- In case you do not have the technical ability to upload the video to YouTube or Google Drive and provide a link to your perfomance, you must contact the organizing committee on another method of transferring the materials  (050) 713-41-70, (097) 071-24-18.

We appreciate each of you and will be happy to help!

- The video with the perfomance must be publicly available. If public access to the video is closed, the jury will not be able to evaluate your performance.

- If the video recording does not meet the technical requirements of the competition, the submitted application will not be considered.

- The organizing committee reserves the right to place your photo and video materials, which are provided for participation in the festival, on our website, YouTube channel, Facebook page.

 

15. Evaluation of performances:

✔ All performances are evaluated by a professional and independent jury

✔ Performances are evaluated according to the level of performance, skill, realization of the idea of ​​the artistic work, artistry and creative approach.

✔ Dubbing of prizes is allowed (for example, two first, two second, two third prizes)

✔ The decision of the jury is not subject to review.

16. General conditions

1. The preparation and holding of the festival-competition is carried out by the organizing committee.

2. The organizing committee approves the composition of the jury for each nomination, which is made up of leading specialists in culture and art.

3. The organizing committee has the right to use and distribute (without payment of fees to the participants and guests of the competition) audio and video recordings, printed (and other types of products) produced during the conduct of the competition and following its results.

4. Contestants have the right to advertise their sponsor. To do this, participants electronically send the logo of the sponsor, the name of the company, the name of the director.

5. Financial activities for the organization and holding of the festival-competition are carried out and regulated by the legislation of Ukraine.

6. Refunds are made in case of refusal to participate in the festival-competition no later than 5 days before its start, otherwise the payment will be credited for participation in the next competition.

7. The sources of funding for the participants of the competition can be the funds of sponsors, patrons and other individuals and legal entities not prohibited by the legislation of Ukraine.

8. By submitting an application for participation in the contest, the participant or his representative agrees to all the terms of these regulations without exception.

                                         

THE RULES OF THE COMPETITION PRIZE

PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARD

✔ The main winner of the "People's choice award" will receive 20 EURO

1. The "People's choice award" contest is held in the Facebook social network group, www.facebook.com/groups/smayl.fest , open to the public, and is entirely based on the reactions of the participants of the social network groups and fans invited by the contestants.

2. All competitive works and performances are placed in the group in accordance with the nominations.

3. People's choice award is held by the organizing committee of SMILE FEST free of charge, the works of the participants of the festival-competition "THE COLORS OF ART" take part in the competition.

4. It is FORBIDDEN to include bots and spin up likes.

5. The r esults of the " People's choice award " do not in any way affect the   results of professional evaluation of works and performances

     by members of the jury.

1. People's choice award is an award from the organizing committee for the best works, determined by the results of viewings by group participants and fans.

2. The start of the competition and the summary of the results are carried out in the announced terms. 

3. The winners will be those perfomances or works that will gain the most reactions (likes) in their nomination. Winners will receive prizes!

4.  Those wishing to cast their vote independently find performances and works for which they want to vote independently. You can find your performance or work by the name of the participant or the name of the team, by searching in the group.

5. The organizing committee reserves the right not to publish low-quality photo and video materials for participation in the " People's choice award ". Photos and video materials of authors who have separately declared their unwillingness to publish for the general public are also not published.

6. We ask all group members and contestants to treat each other with respect.

7. During the contest and after its end, in the comments, behave politely and with respect to each other, otherwise the participant will be immediately disqualified for showing disrespect.
